Yes, but he wasn't implying that it was definitively THE BEST GAME ever, he was simply stating that in his OPINION mass effect is the best game.

What I'm trying to say is, no one has a "wrong" opinion, and he said that in his opinion, ME2 is best.

As for the most important game, Super Mario Bros. is the best game in that respect, because yes, it did save the gaming industry.

You can't say that factually it is the best game because "best" isn't a fact. Was it highly significant to the gaming industry? You bet your ass it was. If I say, "Golden Sun is the best IMO", that means "Golden Sun is the best game I've played". Did it help the industry on a level that Mario did? Not even close.

Actually, it was more the NES that saved gaming, but Super Mario Bros. was still significant. Does that mean it's the best game quality-wise? Maybe, maybe not. You would adore Super Mario Bros. too after playing all of the crap Atari 2600 games.

- Zelda was more significant than Mario Bros.

heres how i see it. if some one says in their opinion what the best game is, its their opinion. i dont care what u say, its an opinion. seems to me as tho some one is trying to make it seem like a fact when its not and tries to prove him wrong. for example, the best game out right now is probably god of war 3. that is my opinion. the best this gen is mgs4. that is my opinion

GOW 3 to you may not be the best game ever but its a damn good game. only faults i say is the camera but thats not a big problem. still enjoyed the whole expeerince. Cant say you was not impressed with the game and it did live up to the hype unlike some games .

I did like the campaign of it. But, back on topic, GOW3 isn't the best game or even the greatest game. I played the demo and my friend has it (lucky bastard) and I all I say is, it's a great game, though the plot was . . . nothing special (atleast for me)

- The plot was was very good, the gameplay was phenomenal, the graphics were stunning, it's going down as one of the greatest hits in my opinion .

GOW3, MGS4, Mass Effect 2, ModNation Racers = best games this gen .
