Monster Hunter Tri IGN Review 8.8
http://wii.ign.com/articles/108/1083123p1.html
So I'm not unhappy with this score, I just think it needs to be higher (like IGN UK's)
Here's why.
1. This will be the first Wii game to have DLC
2. No friend codes
3. WiiSpeak Support
4. HUNDREDS of hours of gameplay
5. Fantastic Graphics
Considering Splinter Cell: Conviction got a 9.3 and only has 5 hours of gameplay, I think maybe their scoring system is a bit off.
Once again, not a bad score, actually, it's a really good score. But they barely acknowledged these things in their score.
I can't wait for tuesday, though I have no internet connection D:

I preordered it. Also I was wondering. They say you get 5 dollars off for preordering it, but is that 5 dollars off because you spent 5 dollars to preorder it? Or do they take another 5 off after preordering it? >.> Hate GameStop and their weird wording of things.

c'mon dude just let it out. we all know that if this game had stayed a ps3 exclusive(with NO changes)it woulda got atleast a 9.5. the only reason ign gave it a 8.8 is cause they simply DON'T wanna give a great wii game a AAA score. they KNOW the game's a work of art though, so they gave a score JUUUUST close enough but 2 decimals under a 9.0. they did the same crap to redsteel 2 and its startin to piss me off. its as if EVERY reviewer sees the wii AAA 3rd-party blitz this year, and now they're tryin to do everything they can to keep the games from competin with the ps3/360 exclusives even though they should.snaredrums123 wrote:http://wii.ign.com/articles/108/1083123p1.html

Re: Monster Hunter Tri IGN Review 8.8
At a time when industry talk is dominated by terms like accessibility and casual appeal, Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise remains firmly attached to its hardcore roots. The latest version of the game is Monster Hunter Tri for Nintendo's Wii, bringing its brand of third-person real-time beast-slaughtering action and addictive item acquisition systems to a new audience. For franchise fans this is going to be a very familiar experience, as much of the game remains the same, though with noticeable improvements to the camera control, visuals, and the online experience. If you're new and wondering what it is that makes this game worthy of the label hardcore, then you should know this is in no way a pick-up-and-play product. Only those with patience, a willingness to learn, and an appreciation of high levels of difficulty should apply. There's a significant time commitment associated with getting the most out of Monster Hunter Tri, but those who put in the hours will find the game offers the kind of satisfaction few other titles can deliver.
