Nintendo needs to get rid of Friend Codes!

I am dead serious. They need to. They are annoying and are unneeded, why not use your console's nickname as the friend code. Someone please tell me what you think about Friend Codes.

Most wii owners also agree. The only reason friend codes exist is so that random people can't contact you. It's a security thing, since the wii was designed for all age groups. However, there's still a lot of people who would prefer to use a faster system of online play with friends, similar to xbox live or PSN. I believe in the next generation or installment of the wii, they will upgrade to this or at least only make friend codes a security option if parents want to keep their kids safe. But, for now, we're just going to have to type in those friend codes and deal with it =P

i think everyone agrees lol, friend codes is annoying but as what Invaderzzim said its to keep strangers from contacting you because they might be pettifiles lol..

Friendcodes i dont even bother with them. I dont have any online games besides Brawl, and barely anyone plays anymore.

i dont like friend codes at all but i know they can be removed with a lot of labor but does nintendo want them gone?

Hey , friend codes are anoying but at least some games such as cod reflex once you have added ur fc, u can change ur name whenever in the game.

also monster hunter 3 has scraped freind codes which is good

friend codes do alow for changing user names which is cool exept conduit lol

the thing i hate about friend codes is that both of you have to enter it why can't it just send a message asking if they'll accept

We won't see them go anytime soon, but it is starting to become more fair. A few games let's you use your Wii number as your Friend Code and add friends who own the game and is your Wii Friend. Examples are The Conduit and Guitar Hero 5.

wii friend codes doo suck no doubt about it but it will always come down too saftey reasons for it too stay

I pray that they gt rid of friend code's.I hate them SO much.

especially when you have to do an hour process of adding people.. first you gotta ask for a persons friends code then wait till this guy to respond to your comment then add a super long fucking 12 digit code lol
