Need for Speed: Nitro

Has anybody been able to get their hands on this game? I just started playing it a few hours ago and I have to say that this game is VERY pretty! The lighting effects, the reflections, the textures of the road, it all looks beautiful. For a game that uses a little over 2 gigs (garbage data brings it up to 4.3) of the 4.7 available on this disc, Nitro is pretty cool from a graphical standpoint. My major gripes comes from the gameplay. I HATE the fact that the police drives around in hummers. They're bulky and take up a lot of space on the race course. The courses feel a bit smaller in width bt that's probably because there are too many cars on the track. Another annoyance is how drifting is handled. Its not as reactive as It needs to be. Actually if I had to describe the drifting and a lot of the gameplay mecahnics, I would say, "TOO arcadey". I know this is a arcade racer but the gameplay did not have to be over the top arcade. Anywho its different and nice. The only thing it really misses is an online mode. after 4 years of having the NfS franchise on the wii, one would come to expect an online mode on an online capable system.

i always thought the game looked pretty. i'm not too sure about the gameplay though. even though the cop cars take too much space, how's the racing overall? smooth and fast paced?

The racing has the potential to be smooth but the power sliding kills it because its hardly responsive and the big ass police cars are beyond annoying. When you consider the fact that these tracks are not wide enough for multiple hummers, dealing with the police begins to tick you off.

The police should have more sudans. If they are to bulky
