Final Fantasy XIV mentioned as coming to 360!

An executive from Square Enix has said that Final Fantasy XIV is coming to PS3, PC, and the Xbox 360. I personally am not excited for the game, because I am not a big fan of MMOs. But its cool for people who do like them. So now its a multiplat, true true multiplat.

The last times that I checked I heard no news or saw anything of Final Fantasy XIV being released for the 360, I do see it as possiblity though.

I went to the Final Fantasy official website and it said nothing about it going to the 360

Someone stated it on the republic like last weekend or early this week.He had a link.It was from VGcharts im pretty sure.It should be easy to find.

Well, when it was first announced it was stated that the 360 was not out of the question, but agreements had to be reached with Microsoft concerning breaking a few of their rules, as FFXI had to.

Granted, I don't particularly care all that much (the day you catch me paying a monthly subscription fee for an MMO is the day I'll castrate myself), but seriously, posting a claim without a source is just stupid. I'm sure those who operate this message board would like this to forum to be more than just baseless claims all over the place.

And it was always a multiplatforum title.

VGcharts, there not super credible. until i see a press release im still thinking its ps3, pc only.

I've heard things like this too. Personally I don't think MMOs work well on P2P servers. There was FFXI, which was meh, and the 360 may get Champions Online, as well as a Monster Hunter MMO, and now possibly FFXIV. I don't see them working out. I think dedicated servers are better suited to handle MMOs.

When you think about it it was never exclusive? Final Fantasy VII (a supposed PS1 exclusive) was on the PC, as well as Final Fantasy 8. Final Fantasy XI was on the PC, PS2, and 360. Some FFs were true-exclusives to Sony (9, 10, X-2, 12), but thats pretty much it. Maybe theres some more that I missed, but oh well.

I wonder if people forget Final Fantasy has been on Nintendo consoles, even to this day. So where it gotten the rep of "Being Sony's" came from I have no clue.

FF XIV won't work on 360. It worked with FFXIII, because you never went backwards to another disc. In FF XIV, you would have to go to disc two, then later go back to disc one, then go back to disc to five minutes later, just to realize you missed something you needed on disc one, and then you switch again. That's like, 6 swaps in half an hour (1 swap every five or so minutes)
