They actually made a live action movie out of avater?.. well, it looks pretty decent to me

Does anybody know what its going to be about? it kinda looks like a rip off of Ninja Assassin

The thing I hate about the movie is it look to hopeless and grim. avatar wasn't that dark. It should be a little more light heated in my opinion.

It does looke pretty grim. I guess we'll just have to see. I think I'd rather have it a little too grim than to kiddy though.
@ BlackSabbath, it's a live action adaptation of the Nickelodeo series Avatar the last Airbender. I think it has very little in common with Ninja Assassin.

I hope this doesn't turn into another "Dragonball Evolution" movie. Avatar is a great cartoon, hope the movie is just as good.

Actually, if you watched all the seasons of the airbender, it WAS very grim. Like the first season was very light hearted and funnyish, because it was made for kids. This movie is aimed at everyone, and i'm sure the humor will remain somewhat.

And to sab, the movie is based off the first season of the show. It's supposed to be a trilogy eventually and cover all three seasons. So, this first one will basically be the origin of Aang and his journey to the water temple in seek of a water bending trainer. I'm sure they'll twist the story around a lot and add and remove things, as they usually do with movies based on shows/books that have content not designed for a movie. Anyways, hopefully it's a great movie because I was always a big fan of the show =P

this movie is just racist. Aang ain't white. Why, why does a show set in an asian universe now have to be white versus brown?

OMG that movie sucked so much. It was like getting hit with a mallet to the head for any DBZ fan. I always hate it when they make movies of good cartoon/anime series coz 80% of the time they totally fuck them up. Let's just hope this movie is good.
