RUMOUR: Sonic to make an appearance in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
It's become clear that Nintendo and Sega like the idea of splicing their own characters into the same games. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games sold millions of copies the world over, and Sonic's inclusion in Brawl was one of the biggest gaming announcements of 2007. But now, according to an unnamed, yet "trusted" source, Sonic may in some way shape or form be showing his spikey blue face inNintendo's upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2.

On NGamer magazine's Twitter account, a post was made stating that Sonic will be appearing in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This was then followed by another Twitter post stating that this news is from a "trusted source", and that Sonic will have his owngalaxy called the Green Hill Galaxy, named after the first zone in the original Sonic the Hedgehog game.


I'd like to stress that this is a RUMOUR until officially proven otherwise, so don't get all mental over this. We will keep you posted on the matter.

Ironically enough, another rumor is going around that the WiiWare version will have Mario as an unlock-able playable character for Sonic 4.

me too. and to have mario unlockable in StH4 would be INSANE!

There's gonna be a level in SMG2 which is called Green Hill Galaxy hence said rumor.

The Green Hill Galaxy is rumour as well as far as I know.

Not sure what to react to it. Won't affect me buying it, that's for sure.

I hope this is true, as long as they let the Mario people do it, and not the *shivers* sonic team.

Wont change me its already a must have but what would sonic even do lol? run really fast? on a platformer i hope luigi is still playable like in the first sorry if its a spoiler to anyone but it shouldn't be

Good on ya, everybody else is saying if Sonic is in it, they're not buying it.

I really really hate Sonic and co. but if he SOMEHOW gets into Galaxy 2, I'll have to deal with it.

Besides, theres a 3.33 (repeating of course) chance Sonic will make it into Galaxy 2.

Sonic is gonna ruin the game. He's got a terrible personality, and Sega will try and find some way to squeeze him in.

Trust me, he will. If they give him his normal personality, he'll ruin the game. If they put him in without any personality, he'll be pointless. Either way, it'll hurt the game.

I really hope Sonic isn't in the game. Super Mario Galaxy was a perfect 10/10 for me, and one of my favorite games this gen. I want the sequel to be just as good, if not better. Then I would buy a Wii to play it.

it might be cool if sonic appered in a galaxy called 16 bit galaxy where every thing was 16 bit and sonic was a boss that you had to defeat than it might be cool
