Re: desperate struggle sales
This is inaccurate. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggles actually sold around 40,000 in the first four days. And people call it a failure after FOUR days? Give it some times to sell.

It did take 100 weeks for the first one to reach half a million copies.

Also in comparison, it is being picked up much faster than the first one was able to do in 7 weeks.

Although I was only expecting the second game to sell the same number of copies as the first one, more or less.

Re: desperate struggle sales
lol RollingSilver is being a successful troll anyway according to VGChartz it sold 41k in the first 4 days lol.. either 1 of those sites are over tracked lol, tatsonoku sales are good, but i am disappointed with the Europe sales.. 10k first week? wtf? i was hoping 50k or something.. well they only stocked about a few copy's over here, i was lucky to find 1 damn copy.. for an anticipated game on the wii retails really know how to fuck up sales don't they? lol

Re: desperate struggle sales
For a Wii game this is not that bad, considering the possibility of lifelong sales. Remember that with a non-HD console you have lower dev costs.

Actually, No More Heroes hasn't even reached half a million, but that was a good guess. I'm sure the sequel will break that.

@KidZillah
Sales = a bigger possibility for a sequel.

1: Why thank you
2: I think 41k in the first 4 days in pretty good considering that it sold more than the first game in that time range. I can only speculate that Desperate Struggle will make at least twice more bank than its predecessor.
3: Correct me if I'm wrong, but retailers don't get a lot of shipped copies for games do they? It's silly to say that everybody just ignored the game.
4: Sorry if I don't understand that one. Can you rephrase that for me?

Seriously, you want to piss around over fairly arbitrary stuff like that? You really are from the IGN forums.

sales = how good a game is .?
People like to talk about the success and failures of ideas, even in non-gaming related issues. Toyota being the largest car maker or Microsoft having a monopoly in OSes or Google beating the crap out of Yahoo and crap like that. People are attracted to popularity.

Shouldn't this be true about Tekken6, F.E.A.R., Virtua Fighter 5 and BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger for the Xbox360?
