It means the exact opposite to me, it means that the developer and publisher both believe in their product enough to have two discs and that they want the fans to truly enjoy their product by putting more than average effort into their game.
Keep in mind that Wii discs and Xbox360 discs are very different. Xbox360 discs only hold 8 Gigabytes max, with 2 Gigabytes going to Microsoft security bullshit. A Single layer Wii disc almost 4.6 Gigabytes (they store their firmware information on each disc produced) and 8 Gigabytes with a Dual layer disc.
I knew Brawl had a Dual layer disc but I didn't know it held that much memory. Developers should start using a Dual Layer Disc.

Exactly, then we could have more awesome games. Using two Dual Layer Discs doubles the fun!

sd cards could be used for increased preformance as well like in pcs with using a memory stick for additional speed or just HD space

Re: Ideas to increase to hardware
multiple disc would not be a problem but I still think nintendo should allow dlc 2 be written on an external hard drive
Re: Ideas to increase to hardware
Do they even have SD cards big enough to be considered an external hard drive?

I don't think so, but if they did, they'd be expensive
Re: Ideas to increase to hardware
But it would be awesome.
