God of War 3 wouldn't even be in the top 20 greatest games ever.

GOW 3 is a great game but I dont think it will make the top 50 greatest games of all time. Besides, there are 3 other GOW games (Or 4 if you count the mobile one).

I think the first God of War is in the top 50 greatest games of all time.

The best games out has to be LittleBigPlanet, Bayonetta, Mass Effect 2, and BlazBlue Calamity Trigger.

half-life, LoZ:link to the past...SUPER METROID...and another 100 or so games that are better than GoW that are even in the action catagory. GoW is a good game, but it was never all that GREAT, games like DMC and ninja gaiden were always better...heck PoP games are also better, and that series is a platformer/adventure.

Well, that's an opinion. But you said you haven't even picked it up yet, so I don't know how you can judge the game (aside from recommendations and reviews, etc.)

Besides, the best game ever is clearly Golden Sun.

Besides, the best game ever is clearly Golden Sun.

- iHave played it, had MANY spoilers, iCould basically tell you the game start to finish, every detail too .

and, iGot the E3 demo SUPER early since iGot the GOW collection when it first came out .

Yea, the demo was a lot of fun. I played it with the District 9 Blu-Ray disc.

I would go as far as to say that Mario was a bit more influential and important in gaming history. I think being swept up in all the hype makes you think that GOW3 is the best thing ever. Hell, it happened with Avatar. Granted, GOW3 destroys Avatar, I'm just saying it happens.

seriously, GoW ain't even the greatest action game this gen. its just the hype and the graphics that gives the game appeal.

no i don't own it,(nor do i own a ps3. i use my cuz's ps3 to play the latest exclusives i may wanna try)but i did plsy the demo. its the same as the first two but with better graphics and big monsters. nothins wrong with a little more of the same, but i always thought the series was overrated last gen and thought games like DMC and ninja gaiden were MUCH better. i think the only only reason this game is looked upon as the "best" action game this gen is cause of its name and hype.

as far as best game out now, i think mass effect 2 EASILY takes that one...that is...till metroid other M or the new zelda comes out.
