Update 2: According to the fine folks over on NeoGAF the motherboard in question is nothing more than the Clarkdale PC processor that combines a dual-core Nehalem derivative with Intel integrated graphics. Saying, “It has absolutely fuck all to do with the 360″.

Original Story: Kotaku has shots of a motherboard for what is claimed to be for an Xbox 360 Slim.

The board also shows the CPU and GPU chips combined into one wholesome chip, with testing recently held and completed in China.

It’s also rumoured it’s part of a bigger plan to see a Slimmer 360 out at retail.

Arguably, this could be fake, but remember last year with PS3 Slim? Thought so. But for now, keep the salt jar to your side.

The only way to have a Wii Slim is to have it so the disc is bigger than the console. The disc drive takes up majority of the Wii, having it slimmed down means smaller disc drive.

If they cut it down to $150 dollars like the rumors say, I am so getting a 360

project natal is not a sony rip off M$ was focusing on making a new way to play and it just so happens that sony's ps2 camera had mini games on it natal has different features and its not meant to be a camera its meant to play full games not mini games

oh and a theres no point for a 360 slim unless theres a price cut cause i like my 360's size its not to big or to small

It wasn't the PS3 going Slim that sold the console so well, it was the price drop. Sony didn't have to release a Slim. They could have sold the Fat models for $299, and they'd see similar results.

If anything, Microsoft may drop the price of the 360 again, but the hardware seems a little too cramped in the 360 as-is. The cramped hardware is what caused RROD.

The slim better not scratch disc if it is lying down
