Secret ID Guide (4th Gen Pokemon Games)
Welcome to the tutorial for finding your secret ID in the 4th Gen games. (D/P/Pt/SS/HG)
Uses:
Finding battle ready (optional)/Shiny (optional) Pokemon
Hatching battle ready (optional)/Shiny (optional) Pokemon
Munchlax on honey tress (D/P/Pt only)
Requirements:
1) A random encountered Shiny pokemon (i.e. not hatched, pokeradar'd, event pokemon or traded, it must be YOUR SHINY POKEMON!!!)
2) It's IV stats (Will explain later in tutorial)
3) Calcular on the computer (Duh!)
4) Make sure said shiny pokemon is not trained, AT ALL, from when you caught it.
Tutorial:
The first thing we want to find out is what the pokemon's IV's for each stat is, however, you can't see them in the game. To find them you must put your pokemon's base stat into a IV calculator. However, it's not easy if you're pokemon's not at LV 100, so find a friend on Wi-Fi and battle him to a LV 100 battle. Since the pokemon's IV didn't change from the battle, copy down the base stats of it at LV 100. Put the stats into the IV calculator below along with the nature(like I did for my Oddish, it had a naughty nature)(also add the Pokerus if the pokemon has it):
http://www.serebii.net/games/iv-calcdp.shtml
The IV's should be shown.
Ex: Oddish (Naughty + Pokerus)
Hp=8/Attack=28/Defense=11/Special Attack=9/Special Defense=16/Speed=25.
Now use the IVs to PID Calculator and add the IV you wrote down along with it's nature:
http://users.smogon.com/X-Act/IVtoPID.html
You should come up with two PIDs, you're going to use the Method 1 PID. (Since you're playing 4th Gen games)
Now you're gonna use the code in the brackets, Ex. [06D4303F], and split it up into two parts:
Ex:
First half - 06D4
Second half - 303F
This is where you're gonna need that calculator on your computer, select it and change it to Scientific mode. Copy the first half of your PID into the calculator and press 'Bin', you should come up with a 16 digit code with 0's and 1's called a binary code, Ex: 0000011011010100. Make sure to write the first half PID binary code and now do the second half of the PID the same way and write that one down. Now put the calculator back in decimal mode and copy put your Trainer ID into the calculator and change it back to Scientific and press 'Bin', showing the Trainer ID's version of it in binary code.
Now add up the three binary codes you have like this:
Ex:
0000011011010100
0011000000111111
0011110111001000
=
0000101100100000
Any column that adds up to an even put 0.
Any column that adds up to an odd put 1.
The columns I put in red mean they equal 0 no matter what.
Now with the final binary code, turn it into a decimal number and you'll have your Secret ID. Note: The Secret ID won't have any decimals in it though. *Note: If you get a number less than five digits add 0's in front of it to get five. Ex: 4567 =04567

There's an easier way to do it, all you need is an AR and the Pokesav program installed on your computer. (It's completely free too!) Be forewarned, that an AR WILL glitch, corrupt, or break your game.

I think this is too complex for us . . . Especially if you're not used to the A.R.

I feel smart, I found my Secret ID without a cheating device. Just don't ask me about RNG and Seed system, because that part literally blows my mind.

Darrien wrote:WTF IS A SECRET ID?
It's a Hidden Trainer ID just in case you get a pokemon from a trade with the same ID, Gender, and name from someone else, though the chances are 1 in 4.3 billion.
