Scratched discs??

Hi, iam new to the forum and when i heard of this website i made an account straight away, anyway, the question i wanted to ask is does scratched discs affect the lens of the wii? cuz when i put my super smash bros. in my wii , it said that it had an error reading the disc, the place in which i fixed my wii at told me to not put scratched discs in the wii as it wil affect the lens of the wii and it wont read discs anymore, does scratched discs affect the wii that way? and if it does does any one know anyway how i can remove the scratched from the discs? thnx

First off...why would you think they were lying to you. I'm judging these people were experienced and knew what they were talking about. You don't take scratches away for the system only, you do it so you can play the game. Go to gamestop and buy a disc scratching removal kit, it works really well. You just clean the scratches right off with the kit, it's really easy. Reputation points plox lol

try block buster to they do it for you so no chance of messing up

game and some other shops fix scratched discs for not that much money

yea the wii reads dual sided disks so it may get hard to read them if anything interfers
