this generation? I would have to say little big planet. the customization and editor tools are really great.

how the heck was Halo 3 "innovative"? i can see Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain, but Halo 3? To me Halo 3 is just another fps that is highly overrated. its not a bad game but i just dont see wheres it innovative. i really hope u were being sarcastic

What about Mass Effect, which brought great innovation in the form of the dialog wheel and choices that impact the story? Also, not EVERY FPS is the same. Bioshock innovated gaming by bringing a whole new level of atmosphere, as well as telling the story in a unique way.

now the Mass Effect series is innovative. but so is littlebigplanet. mgs4 is innovative with its story telling. TvC is alot like a bunch of arcade fighters but that isnt bad. R&C is innovative with its massive amount of guns :3

well if u say R&C for its most gunns then actually borderlands that game has like 200 thousand guns or something ridiculous

i would say LBP and the upcoming modnation racers. as they are pushing user made content on home consoles to a mass audience. plus they are fun games

The only innovative game(s) this gen are games those that allow user-created content.
