Unreleased/cancelled games.

I recall that Christmas morning very well. I looked in the stocking and pulled out a CD case. Mega Man Legends for the PS1. That was a hell of a game. Nostalgia may make everything better, but at least it was good enough for a sequel. Here begins the problem. Whenever you make a #2, people automatically expect a #3. So the cliffhanger ending of Legends 2 set up the inevitable Legends 3 on the new generation of consoles. Perhaps even on the brand new, amazing graphics Playstation 2.
Except that didn't happen. In fact, the series would not see another game. At least in north america. The last closest we got was in Tat vs Cap where you played as Mega Man Trigger (the mega man of the Legends series). Another example of this phenomenon is Duke Nukem Forever. What happened to that game? Team Fortress didn't see #2 until the next decade.
So, with that memory/ introduction out of the way, what games that you guys were excited for went hit the axe?
