Should we alow roms (Debate over)

Roms are perfectly legal if you own the orriginal copy of the game but since we are on the internet we cant realy know anything about you besides what you post. I was wondering if we should allow this bucause of the realease of the Fatal Frame 4 game as said by ign https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHhES6WjWtU( @ 22secs to 34secs) .

The game will be fully subtitled thanks to a patch. People may find it right because Nintendo wont let go of the right to the game so devs can make an English subs. BBC aka Shokio brother said he'll tell us how as soon as the subtiled version was going to be realeased proof https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMwg_0pm0yE ( @ 10:01mins to 10:20mins) and dont tell me thats bbc not shokio because when the vid was up on his account Shokio commented saying that he hacked his wii lol in I quote.

So is there any objections to talking about it if so debate amonst you selves ok.

I'd advise against talking about ROMs on here. Like you said, you can never tell if it's legal or illegal, and talking about anything illegal is a big rule here in the homebrew section.

ok but we can in this circumstance for FF4 and homebrew games but not for games In production that we can get like mario cart that we can buy. (Sorry if its a little confusing) I will just tell them how to patch the game manually instead of making a rom. Thanks for posting

No problem, i'd actually be against it if there weren't legal roms, purely so the site wouldn't be shut down

Roms are illegal when you share them with other ppl, but its legal when you use them for personal use

So if your just playing them by and for yourself, then there not illegal

ok but homebrew games are free and what about the patch FF4 and emultores that aren't in vc are with that. Do u want us to manualy put the patch in our game or no download? just making soure

homebrew and emulators are fine I guess.

we'll jus patch our FF4 copies because no pirating

Homebrew games are free and u get the game via HBB emulatores games from old systems lik n64, ps1, neo geo, stuff like that

Im sorry didnt mean to talk down to you.

Its fine, i didn't take it that way anyway.

I say no... I created a Wii Releases thread so that people can know when a game has been released into the wild but we have a small responsibility to protect the devs from an insane amount of piracy. Someone once said "Only take what is necessary". I'm not against piracy, hell I AM one but at least be ethical about it. That's why I refuse to like to games and everyone should follow suit.
