Is the Dsi worth it?
When i heard that nintendo was coming out with a new handheld i was so excited but when i heard about the dsi ware service i couldnt believe it.So i traded my Ds lite in for a Dsi but was it really worth it? I mean the screens are just a little bigger and the camera is awsome but when is nintendo going to use it for something useful? An the Dsi ware service every week i see another puzzle game after another and i hardly use the service anymore because i am not interested.I like it but....i guess im just goin to have to wait for nintendo to do some wonders with the Dsi.I would be lying if i told you i didnt see any good games on the Dsi i just keep seeing a lot of puzzle games (aka)shuffle ware. The thing i like the most is the flipnote studios(a really good idea nintendo ) and mario vs donkey kong. I hope i see more great titles.

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
very good point-but what do u mean by nintendo doing something usefull with the dsi-can u explain? you should also look out for different places for games on ds and dsi cause shops dont have all games on the dsi on display it would be too much.basically there are good games out there and they are worth while u just gotta keep looking-like theres a new game that was anounced at an e3 conference:kingdom hearts 358/2 days.or mario and luigi bowsers inside story.you just gotta look

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
Well, I can help out. The DS and DS Lite both use WEP connections to the internet, while the DSi uses both WEP and WPA connections to the internet.
Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
does that make the dsi better or worse on connections

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
Well it's still the DS so it may not have a better connection, if you use one of the two I stated, you can still connect pretty good.(pure)mike wrote:does that make the dsi better or worse on connections

He's like 8 hour different than your time zone.
Anyway I got one the day it came out but WarioWare Snapped is an ok game. Get the internet browser and Flipnote for sure.

no wait for the, psp go WAY BETTER
Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
I say Yes, yes and YES! The thing is, nobody looks at the potential of the DSI. it has 4 times the memory and twice the processing power and plays software in 2 modes, native and "compatibility" for DS standard games. Sounds familiar? *cough* Wii... Anywho, just wait till the DSI only games come out. You will see the difference then. Aside from that DSiWare apps have a lot of potential and the web browser is a lovely step up from the one for the DS Standard. All it needs now is a movie player and I'm, golden. I'm pretty sure somebody in the homebrew community will solve that problem soon.

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
The DS lite is better IMO because i still have a ton of GBA games i still like to play, and the ds lite is easier to carrry around than a dsi and a gba sp

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
There were announcements yesterday about the first 2 DSi only games coming to the U.S. So If the system starts getting more and more exclusives, it might be worth it.

Re: Is the Dsi worth it?
I love my DSi personally and feel it was a really nice upgrade from the lite. It is also showing a decent line up of games, although I wouldn't call them killer apps though.

I can certainly say the DSiware lineup is far superior to what the Wiiware, especially considering the space of time.
