Why is Virtual Console not part of metacritic ratings?

i never actually thought about that, but you're right. i see other sites review VC games like ign, but MC doesn't for some reason. its as if they think VC rereleases are irrelevant.

This is an fantastic idea. I can guaranteen you that the Wii would have a better stand at Metacritics then it has now if they would include VC games.

They do. Games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Rez are decade old at least.

The sole purpose of Metacritic is to place an average on these games.

I never thought about it that way. you are so right about this. I mean writing out a new review for it for people who never got a chance to play it might work. telling them if the game has aged well or not. maybe metacritic should think about that

I dont believe they do because they mostly are old games which already have a rating most likely. Thats the reason.

Prob because they might have allready been reviewed when they where on the other consoles
