Wii Price Cut?

ign and game spot have been saying they have heard small conversation about a droop in the price for wii but nothing is official

Well if the PS3, and 360 are cutting their price, why not the wii?

I don't see a price drop happening until the Wii sells slow down... and I mean A LOT.

Which is probably going to happen being that the 360 is now $250, and the PS3 Slim is $300...

Wii should get a price cut. My baby brother broke my Wii a second time so I would be happy with a price cut before I buy another one. lol

I'd imagine a price drop somewhere along the line.

it would suck if u got a wii and then the day after there was a price cut

it would suck but a price cut to stay the least expensive console should be an objective

its doing fine.. its called nintendo, they know what there doing, they been counting money and selling consoles for 25 years lol

Why would they need a price cut? The Wii is still the cheapest console. $249 vs. $299 People will still buy the Wii because of the $50 difference. Then again, it's ONLY a $50 difference. Nintendo will probably either do the "wait and see" game, or not because its not like them to be all competitive with the other companies. I'd say keep it the way it is.

If there was a time to announce the Wii HD or 2 or whatever, now might be the time. Not saying I want one, but this give Nintendo some great opportunities. Then again, its all about the software, not hardware. I'm confused.

Actually the 360 is the cheapest. At $199 an they have the Pro at 249.

And the Wii sales are down from last year by almost 70%, so a price cut will help.

I would expect a price cut around the time a black wii is introduced. Or a short while after.

Why not the Wii? Because, unlike the 360 and PS3, the Wii didn't start off being WAY overpriced. The PS3, upon release, would cost one's soul and first born child; the 360 would cost an arm, a leg, and kidney. That would leave you as a stump without the ability to filter blood and no kids. The Wii, on the other hand, just left you slightly tight financially until payday (instead of bankrupt).

I definitly think they will since almost everone has a wii they are starting to lakk in sales so probably a price cut will be annoced at E3 2010.

The wii should get a price cut, that would decide it for alot of new gamers, and maybe some people who dont have a wii to get one because the price droped. Im hoping the wii sales get better becasue then there will be more support of good games and there developers, meaning they get more money to make better games, people say the wii cant support good games, but they can if the developers actually try hard!

i dont know yet, i mean the ps3 and 360 barely made a dent on wii sales, the wii only lost 7k consumers that's it, the wii's sales was slowing down naturally its not slowing down really fast because of its competitors price.. but it would be great for a price cut right now, its freaking due to happen anyway not because the 360 or ps3 dropped there price its because its been 3 years without 1 pricecut
