What if Super Smash Bros. went 3D?

No not 3D as in with/without glasses.

I mean 3D as in you fight on 3 Dimensional stages rather than having the standard 2D/2.5D.
Think of it as how like Mario went from 2D to 3D on the N64.

iThink it would be as good, but, it would SPLIT the community.

I would care less. I probably would still love the game. But 3D effects would be AMAZING!

It would be pretty cool, but it would stray too far away from the gameplay we all know and love.

i dont know how i would feel. but i wouldn't know cause im sure even if it did that team would do something awesome.

like giving it that Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi feel to it would be different but yeah it would spit the community

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 & 3 are awesome games except for 3's online.

mabye 2.75 D full out control in 3 D would make SSB to diffrent i donno if itll work

It would suck like that....seriously dont joke like that.

I completely get that idea. not the fighting bit of the game, that has to be 2d really, but (and i REALLY apologise for mentioning non wii games in a wii games forum) the single player mode would work brilliantly as a 3d game with a kingdom hearts style format, crossing from world to world instead of everyone coming from the same world which imho is the one aspect of subspace emissary that really didnt work.

That could work. I had fun with Tekken's story mode.
