The Wii is Built to Last

After studies about failure rates came to a conclusion, most thought that the only reason the Wii had the lowest number of failures was because it was the least played out of the 3 main consoles... So Squaretrade decided to factor in the amount of time played, ASWELL as who is playing the consoles and came the this conclusion.

"Even after accounting for the usage arguement, the Wii still came out with the lowest failure rate with a 0.31% failure rate per day of use. In contrast to this, the Playstation 3 failed 75% more frequently, and Xbox 360 still lagged behind with 435% the failure rate of the Wii."

Nintendo never fails to make very nice hardware .

Nintendo may not have the prettiest graphics, the best online, or as many 3rd party games as Sony or Microsoft, but they don't have as much fail as Sony, and nobody could ever compete with Microsoft in the "epic fail" department after their massive 360 melting fiasco....The Gamecube, for example, may not have been the best in terms of power or graphics, but I left my Gamecube on for over 7 months straight (I was paused and couldn't find a save point and then forgot about it, lol) and it wasn't even hot.

My friend well former friend said his wii broke i told him that wasnt possible i said sure its plugged in? he said it was he told me it broke well it turns out it was unplugged for 4 months -_- i donno what he was on lol by the time his 360 broke he found out his wii was still working perfectly

My GC still working not a dent scratch of malfunction on it. N64 same thing near perfect condition . same with nes and snes but haw do ppl go through like 4 xbox originals and 5 360's? the must not take care of their console sure 360 isnt exactly built to last but still shouldn't need to buy 5 or 8 ive heard

Believe it or not this is my 4th wii!! The other times when there was lighting storms and everything was fine but my wii was damaged. Yeh wierd and the wii is located in my basement has this ever happened to any of you.

Lighting is bad for electronics, keep Pikachu away.

ive played my wii through storms and power outs and nothing happened but my bros xbox stated freezing making loud noises and disc read errors lol

nintendo has been in this business for 25 years so its obvious the wii wont fail much .. even if alot od people played the wii it will still be a reliable hardware.. my nes is still kicking ass these days
