Violence limits the potential of games, says Miyamoto
Shigeru Miyamoto believes that violent games, such as Modern Warfare 2, are “limited” in their scope and “narrow down the potential of what video games can do.”

He speaks the truth. With a ton of violence, you lose the "thought/skill" part of the game.

One reason why I don't like God of War. To me it just seems these focused to much on the gory and violence, and sex, then actually making the game addictive and fun. To me anyways it isn't fun and they story is mediocre at best.

true, i don't like the "hey u can have sex for the heck of it!" idea. the violence is pretty cool tho. i wouldn't say the story is medicore either. but think about it, really violent games have creativity too. take madworld for example. great art styleFaytSaratome wrote:One reason why I don't like God of War. Re: Violence limits the potential of games, says Miyamoto
I say in games like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry and MadWorld it's justified because the violence is a function of gameplay.
In God of War the violence only seems to serve the function of "oh look, we have violence, it's okay for people to buy and like this game!".
