Madden 10 Wii Review

This game is mixed with anorexic players and players that look like they abused steroids. The game includes a few new modes such as Madden Showdown, and Huddle Up. Madden Showdown is a game where u bet points on whose going to win and etc. Really fun. Huddle up is a season mode where you can play with a friend or by yourself. The old madden modes such as Superstar and Franchise are now unlockables and hasnt changed since 09. The gameplay is horrible. The runningbacks break millions of tackles every play. The commentating is horrible. They the wrong names the whole game.

Grade: Madden 10 gets a D+

Come on dude, if you're going to make a review at least put some effort into it. This is way too short, if you're going to make a review put some thought into the visuals, the gameplay, and everything else. Give examples, don't just put a tiny paragraph and a score. Also, I would of given the game just a flat D but a D+ is fair.

I know I was talking too ciflit it just seems like he always has something negative to say about another persons review.

It's called constructive criticism. I'm criticizing him for making a lazy review. I'm not telling him it sucked or anything down-right rude like that.

i love reviewing games just time consuming and i like reviews writen like 8/10 instead of a D that really dosnt say much to me to me a D mean Bad like 4-6.5/10 its to broad

That hardly shows why a Score is an opinion. Its suppose to be a "short hand" review of the game. It is suppose to give a general impression of the game is like. It is for people who don't have time to read reviews. Scores aren't necessarily reflected upon the written review. Keep in mind that scores are assigned on what is known as a scale.

Take Gamespot for example.

Keep in mind that a score is not an opinion. You do not articulate numbers. You articulate ideas with words.

If I said "Game X is 5/10", what the hell does that mean? It has no value. It means nothing. It does not inform anyone what the game is like. Is is fast paced? Is it easy to control? Opinions are not a form of measurement. An opinion would be "This game x is boring," "This game is fun," "This game is repetitive," or "This game ever changing."

A score, is what reflects what you think about a game. If you liked it, the score reflects it. Thus, the score reflects your opinion. And besides, I was basically agreeing with the score, but gave it a little bit lower of a score than he did. I was not stating he was wrong, I was commenting on his review. A short and simple comment, that wasn't supposed to prove him wrong, and say he's wrong. Obviously I gave it a lower score because I liked it less. I'm not writing my own review, so Im not going to go into details why. It was a comment, comments shouldn't have to be as complex as you seem to be making them out to be. Also, a score does have a meaning. A game with a 5/10 is a mediocre game, obviously. It's what someone thought of a game, but didn't have the time, or was too lazy to explain why. Thus, saying that with no written review, makes it an opinion.

Scores still don't necessarily mean if a reviewer liked the game. Keep in mind that game reviews are not meant to be opinions but recommendations. There are people out there trying to figure out how to spend $50 a game they may have never played that game, what would be worth spending their time and

Wouldn't you expect the game that is more fun to have a score equal or even better than another game? GTA 4 is considered the more polished game but Saints Row 2. Things such as better graphics and a more robust engine and other things are weighted into a review. Scores differ because different reviewers are looking for different things in a game.

On an equal scale or the same scale? Scores aren't forms of measurements like inches, feet, pounds, meters, grams ect. Scores are reflected on a scale. This is why a score IS NOT an opinion.

Scores are meant to compliment reviews. Mainly because scores aren't opinions.

"This game is a D" is not an opinion of the game but an opinion what score should be assigned to it. A major difference.
