Nintendo Admits Losing Momentum
http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/700315/Nintendo-Admits-Losing-Momentum-With-Wii-Blames-Lacking-Games.html
Wow, 2 Wii articles in a row. Seroiusly, why can't the people see the bigger picture with the Wii? I can't stand it.
Anyway, Nintendo sales have dropped 43% in the past year, and Nintendo blames it on the lack of advertising with new games. So are they going to do something about it, or just complain about it? After all, easier said than done.
All these Wii articles about its hardware and software are driving me nuts. When it comes to the PS3/360, everything seems fine to everyone, but when it comes to anything about the Wii, everyone questions the mentality of Iwata. Seriously how stupid can these people be to not realize that Nintendo has taken a huge business risk, and managed to succeed so far until probably this year? (I may have mixed that sentence up, but you know what I mean) None of these people understand the meaning of a business, or the business cycle.

hurrr wiiiiiiiiii is losing
i hope gaytendo dies and nintendo works for sony wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
but seriously, i think all these wii articles show that even though these gamers "abandoned" nintendo or jumped ship thinking nintendo "abandoned" them, they only write these articles because they're still concerned about that industry. if they hated nintendo so much, they would've just stopped caring or thinking about nintendo all together. notice the paradox here: they hate nintendo but are concerned about nintendo.

thus we see the hypocrisy in these "gamers". if there's a new zelda, then every one of them will get on board with nintendo.

Re: Nintendo Admits Losing Momentum
its simple. people don't like the fact that the wii is winnin the console war by a HUGE margin, so they find any reason to believe ninte is doin bad...even when these so called drop in sales is still WAAAAY more then the compotition is sellin.
"WOW, the wii only outsold the 360/ps3 by 500,000 units this month instead of 700,000. the wii is doin sooo bad now. we told you wiifanboys the gimmick was gonna die out."...since when has outsellin anything by 500,000 units NOT outstandin? especially considerin the fact that just about EVERYONE in the US and japan have one by now. heck my question is who DOESN'T have a wii at this point?

in the mean time Nintendo had to shutdown Nothing, and cut cost no where because they still made 548 billion freaking yen last year,
i don't know why Nintendo is so worried about there sales, they made more money from there products then any other company in the gaming industry

Re: Nintendo Admits Losing Momentum
well ya no shit ever since the ps3 price drop Nintendo has been slowing down but thats just because every kid and there mom already has a wii, any ways Nintendo is back on top this month so end of discussion.
Re: Nintendo Admits Losing Momentum
Of course the Wii's sales would have dropped some. Not a lot of people don't have Wiis so what would be the point of someone who has one to buy another one? The Wii isn't a 360, don't have to buy a new one every month.

Re: Nintendo Admits Losing Momentum
At least they know the problem exist.
However, while the Wii's momentum is slowing down inevitably, it's still doing fantastic. We all know the Wii will win and I commend Nintendo for pushing it so far and making so much sales out of it. They're obviously using it for next generation and they still haven't neglected the fanbase.
Sony and Microsoft will be eating dirt next generation. I like both, but Nintendo is an better company out of the three.
