So Homebrew is a third party channel that you can Hack onto your wii now homebrew its self is quite safe and works great! ( nintendo still dont want you to have it tho) But the apps like cheats and emualtors and backup loaders can be harmful if not used right...

Which brings us too why?
Well Hombrew Alows DVDS to be played as well as emualtors and free games..

But again there is a downside if you use the apps from your comp and install it wrong there is a high risk of a error occuring now if its big or not depends but still there is no room for "noobs" on this.

Overall Homebrew Is a Great App but with the side-effects to it like voiding warranty, brick, plus nintendo bassicaly has no love for you anymore.

I'd say Dont..

But thats my opion post your below.

Also if you think i'm just making homebrew seem bad i'm not its cool and i had it on my wii but no anymore hacking isnt my thing.

Also if hacking your wii makes you fell uncomfortable DONT DO IT.

I love homebrew, though I wouldn't feel right stealing Wii games from Nintendo (shokio >:l lol)

If it wasn't for Homebrew though I wouldn't have Brawl+ and I wouldn't be able to get VC games Nintendo is too stupid to put up on VC.

Reason 1 why good/great games on the Wii don't get sequels.

Homebrew is good, but the Disk backup launcher is bad because it is for people who steal games. Homebrew is mostly indie games and apps for your Wii.

I say go for it, but take out the SD card that has your hack files every time you update your Wii so it can't find the hack files. it's worked so far for me Very Happy

I don't have a problem with Homebrew.

However, your spelling is disturbing.

Personally I prefer VC over the emulators for the homebrew. I like having the manuals integrated into the game. I wish they did that with commercial disc games.

However, there are a lot of nice things about homebrew which gives the consumer more control.

I have no problem with it, but Ocarina is a different story.
